You can explain the groups or channel’s rules, you can even describe who is supposed to join this group, like if it’s a group for a math class of second-year students in a certain high school. You can also write something cool, like a motto or quotation from someone great! So many possibilities and it’s up to you how to do it!
Steps on how to change WhatsApp Group Description
Before I talk about those cool ideas I have; first, I’m going to explain you can add or change a description to a group on WhatsApp. Follow these simple steps and you will find it quite easy.
Step 1:
First, you have to find and open WhatsApp on your phone. It looks like a white phone handle with a white circle around it and a green background behind it.
Step 2:
Now open the group you want to make add or change its description. Once you have opened the group, look for a three-dot icon on the upper right corner of your screen. Tap on it.
Step 3:
After you have tapped on the three-dots icon, a pop-up menu should appear with multiple options. Find and tap on “Group Info.”
Step 4:
On the new page, find and tap on “Add Group Description.”
Step 5:
Tap on the highlighted area. Once you do, your keyboard should pop up and you should be able to enter whatever description you have in mind. You can use the face-looking icon right next to the highlighted area to add stickers to the group’s description. Once you are done, tap on “OK” at the bottom of the page.
